Hi,I am working on a 1959 GMC p/u truck. I have some quesiotns: The rebuilder of the truck did a great job on the bodywork, motor, tranny etc. Even the paint job is fine. What is Duracote paint? (is that the right spelling?) The last owner said that he painted it using Duracote? Does this product have a clear coat in it? How do I best maintain it? or someduy recoat it? The truck has some light scratches and I have a makita electric buffer with a lambs wool pad and a heavier cut wool pad. What are those best used for? What is a good pad to use for buffing with a very fine cut polishing compound? and what pad for wax application and polish? Now the real tickler (for me) The interior is still original, but the step and doors were painted with black. The dash still has the original grey interior paint and decal in excellent condition. Can I paint the interior of the cab by removing the doors and seat, and mask the windows and exterior from overspray? I would like to use the same color grey as it should be for a GMC truck and mask the dash area too. Do you recommend this approach for those who have worked on classic trucks? Finally, what is a good aluminum polish to cleanthe dash where the gauges are? Thank you. tom
