I have several questions I was hoping someone could ansewer ? I am restoring a Farmall a and am wondering if bondo is suitable and long lasting enough to fill pits that are in the sheet metal, or would fiberglass be better ? Is the replacement Farmall red paint that yesterdays tractors sells a good quality paint ? I am stripping most of the parts down to bare metal is inexpensive spray paint type primer suitable to use for priming ? Are the air powered sprayers that are sold for around 50-60 dollars suitable to get a good paint job ? any help that anyone could offer would be gratly appreciated !

Thanks Jonathan Mirgon

As long as the bondo is properly applied and not very thick (1/4" max) it should outlast the paint. Make sure the metal is good and clean and has some very rough sanding scratches under it for it to bite into. I have no experience with the paint sold here but unless it is $50 a gallon or higher it will fade quickly. Use a primer designed for the paint you will be using. A $50-$60 dollar conventional paint gun will do a good job, especially with enamel paints.
