I used to have a Super H and pulled it at 3500# with 150# of suitcase weights when pulling. That's with me in the seat at 240 lbs. Pressed steel wheels a must, Flanges welded to axle instead of hubs--saves approx 100 #. Frame rails changed to aluminum. Lighter front bolster and pressed wheels with small tires up front. A 1939 rear tub and platform weigh about 75 to 100 lbs. less than later ones. Belt pulley, PTO, and hydraulic pump all need to be taken off. Make all weight racks and wheelie bars out of aluminum. Hope these ideas help.

just start striping . And get some steel press wheels. Mineis about 3600 w/cast wheels and weight brackets and wheely bars. Some pulls in this area you can't pull an H in 3500 is why I have not changed wheels.

I have an h that pulls in the 3500lb. class. Took everything off I possible could, but still running cast center wheels. No pressed steel. Our rules you cannot run pressed steel wheels. Mine is a 1940 model, they are a little lighter than the newer model ones. Trust me every one I pull with can't believe it either, but the scales don't lie. 3496lb. with me on it at 170lbs, and about 3 gal. of gas.
