Looking for comments / advise on the best all around tractor for pulling with stock HP that some day may be easily increased with no major problems . Weight classes range from 5500-9500 lbs. Can pull tractor in three different weight classes. Restoration ease also a consideration.

If you get one, make sure it was made before 1952, or whatever the cut-off year for antique pulls is.

Also consider a JD G. They can pull upto 9500. I have heard and seen em do it. plus with a 412.5 cubic inches you can do lots of motor work. But just my opinon.

If I was you, I would choose a tractor that had a torque on it. A Super M-TA, 560, and if you want to win in the three classes, a 450. I have been looking at a W9 Farmall because its only compitition is an 830 John Deere.

The only competition for a W9 is a 830 Deere?

My old MH 55 is giving you the evil eye... And my Grandfather's LA Case is about to bust at the seams laughing...

Why must everyone swear by Farmall and John Deere.
