Would the Farmall 300 make a good pulling tractor in farm classes. Has any one ever done it . Do not read much about this tractor. Any strong or weak points.

the Farmall 300 is an ok dead weight puller but will never compete with us Minniapolis Molines on transfer unless it's a protected class or something. you will also have trouble running with the olivers and even a farmall m will put ya in a world of hurt. dont get me wrong there good tractors just not really class winners. but I pull a MM U and a G and we win just about everywhere we go on transfer but my familys got all JD's and I always fall back on my old B for the dead sled but do what ya want. good luck..... ....

i have a farmall 300 that pulls darn good. I beat the olivers and usually almost always beat farmall m's and super m's. I dont know what the people see when they say a 300 doesnt pull good. If you give a good bounce on the seat and pull the ta at the rite time you will do good.

I am pulling a 300 IH this year with fair results, i PULL IN 5600 AND 6600 IB. CLASS. dRAWBACK IF ANY IS TRACTOR TO HEAVEY FOR HORSEPOWER, WE CANNOT SHIFT T. A. ON THE GO SO I PULL IN LOW SIDE OF LOW,NEVER LOSE POWER BUT WILL SPIN OUT AND I HAVE TO PUT MOST WT. IN MIDDEL OF THE TRACTOR TO KEEP FRONT IN DOWN. I DO BEST IN 6600 LB. CLASS.IN CLASS WITH 88 OLLIE, M FARMALL,460 I.H. DESEAL,I THINK I CAN STILL DO BETTER WHEN I GET MY TRACTOR RUNNING RIGHT.
