I am actually taking your recommendaton of gasket material. Bad news though, David is no longer with Lubbocks. I have been talking with Rick and he has a long way to go with knowing what gasket is which for tractors. Seems like a great guy who is trying.

See you can teach Morons like me new tricks.

Have a good one.

Hey Burns,I had .150 thousanths taken off the head on my 52 G and I used a stock gasket from John Deere and it works fine, but I did retorque the head after a little running because of water seepage on the left upper side.It stopped my leakage and it runs extremely well.Later,Jack(TN).

Louden, Don't worry about Pete, he just suffers from short stroke, small cubic inch, and pre-ignition combustion problems. Needless to say he's a frustrated man. He seeks to overcompinsate with multiple cylinders, but still his Cubic Inch suffers. In a final attempt to compete he increases Rotations Per Minute, but to the point of mechanical breakdown. This makes his significant other very frustrated, due to his excuses and time trying to get his motor running again. Wouldn't it be simpler if Pete had a large cylinder with a long stroke. He wouldn't have to work so hard to accomplish the same goal, and he's definately have more torque. His significant other would also be happier because pete would no longer be wasting her time, when he takes her to the track. I think he would be most competitive. Just my thoughts on this fine Friday morning. Greg H.

Burns.. I'm running the stock gasket with no problem.. I have talked to the guys at Lubbock and the said not to use the copper gasket for just the reason u are having.. Said it seals the combustion great.. but has a hard time sealing the fluids.. good Luck
