I have been trying to find a set of pistons for my WC puller 4 1/8" that are taller than stock. I have WD45 in now with 2.371 height looking to increse that. I have checked with agco about 175's but only 4" no 4 1/8. I was told use WC/WD but they are either not available or cross ref to the same height. I checked about having some custom made, I dont make that much money in a hole year! There has to be a source out there somewhere because I have had a lot of advice, but getting some wrong info from someone, A lot of sources dont have any dia. data on hand so there no help, so it is like Im chasing my tail and am dissy right now thank for any help. Andy

Sealed Power has piston's with a comp. dist. of 2.7187",p/n 1728P or whole sleeve assy. p/n SL-1728. For the G201 engine, can't be used if you have the WD-45 crankshaft. And they can't be used in the WD-45 engine

I here you Andy, it seems the aftermarket such as Perfect Circle, Federal-Mogul, Tisco, and some imports all offer 4-1/8 pistons but the compression height their offered in makes them essentially useless except for someone who wants to run distallate fuel. The best of the above forementioned companies offers a 2.3906 compression height, while a stock 170 gas used 2.600 and the 175 gas used 2.6250 for 8.0 and 8.2 compression heights respectively. I personally won't use flat tops, you really can't with the flat head i.e. no combustion chamber, however these will probably make more power than the above mentioned lower compression. Irv is right, Ross pistons will make these with the dish to create the combustion chamber but why stop at 4-1/8" This is the same price they quoted me on 4-1/4", and if we all got together and ordered lets say a hundred sets the price would get much better say $300-$350 and these are made of the same material as NHRA, Winston Cup, 8000rpm plus motors require. Please email me if anyone has some interest.

What you want is 1/8" over pistons for a WC, not a WD45 D-17 170 etc. It is true that the late model Allis engines had higher compression than the older WC, but the newer engines used a 4.5" stroke not a 4" like the WC. Savy??

Heres some knowledge for you "knowledge" - They don't make 4 1/8" Flat top pistons. Tisco or Temco's pistons, yah sure they are 1/8 bigger but if you look at the part #'s for WD,WD45,D17,And 175 they are all the same a powercrator piston of stock WD45 height. So what you could do is have someone weld an Aluminum ad on to the top of a piston to get you the compression you want.

Hey allis puller I just put in a set of 4 1/8 flat top for my WC. As far as I can remember Tisco had 4 1/8 crater or flat top. Tractor Rod

all of the piston kits for wc/wd are flat top that you can buy from all parts books i have seen.i did find a set of old high attitude power crates pistons for wc/wd or 4inch stroke.that is working very good with 4.5 inch stroke and is giveing me 270PSI.runs like a bear.I am thinking of selling this engine to open class.if anybody is looking for a great div II pulling motor.
