I want to know what I should do to make my 460 diesel a good pulling tractor. As in going in the engine or transmission. Also trying to get the most power out of it to. I already have had the injectors re-done and the pump re-done and tuned up so the engine has plenty of fuel. What should I do? Thanx for the info.

Big Red If you realy want a screamer put some lp gas to it make sure you use a regulater an ajustable on works nice plum it in at the center of your intake use a nozzle like from an either injecter you can run at 30% lp and be safe I have seen them run more but you realy start to loose a lot of lubercation that is needed!

Go get a 282 Diesel out of a 560,660,0r 706 and put in it. They are a bigger stroke. Take the oil bath air cleaner off and use a dry element type off of a 706. Done this and it was worth about 20 extra horse. The 560 deisel (282) will turn 100 to 120hp's with out a blower.

I would oversize the pistons in it. If you have the money, you can bore it but that costs a big chunk of change. It depends on what class you want to run it in like the 6500-7500, if that is how much it weighs, or if you want to get right up there with the big boys. For the lighter weights, I wouldn't do anything to the motor, the torque amplifier should keep the power balanced if you would need it in 1st gear. For the classes 8500 and up, you may have to oversize the motor or bore it, your choice.
