A John Deere D or a Case model L. No Bashing please?? Just educated opinion or facts. Both were 3-4 plow tractors.

case l hands down, not because i am a case man, but the HP to weight ratio, and the ability to loose more weight, the ability to build the l is as far as you poketbook will allow. i know several green guys will probably agree too, but there again they would rather build a G. and HP out of a john will cost you more than the case.
just MY OPINION.....

Stock? The tractor with the taller tires and short, stiff sharp tread. Plus proper weight balance.

I would also say that the L has more potential. There have been some really huge L series Case motors built. There have also been several more L series tractors built for pulling than D John Deeres. I would say that there are more guys out there that could help you out with the L. I am not "bashing", but as a professional machine shop operator... I would much rather deal with the Case engine. Good luck in your decision.
