Just seen a bunch of you die hard winter pullers draging your prized iron through a lovely midwest snow and sleet storm, I hope you guys get your jollies on driving all those miles in bad weather and then getting home and trying to get all that salt and road grime off, and for what? A $5 Plaque. I just as soon sit by the old wood stove and spend some quality time with the Mrs. You guys make me sick.

Easy on the pullers and puller fans. We could be doing allot worse things with our spare time like drugs or hurting people. Instead we love to do what we growed up with and that is be around tractors, especially "hot" ones. I am a computer technician by trade but am a farmer by heart. I own a couple tractors myself and also help a friend on a 2,000 acre grain farm. I can tell you one thing I love it when pulling season roles around. I may not have a wife, but I am looking for one. You can bet when I find her I will try my best to make her happy. One requirement that I do ask of her is let me go to pulls by myself or she can go with me. I go to about 15 pulls a year and if work would permit it I would go to more. Everyone needs some type of hobby to make life more enjoyable. This is a sport also that is good for the entire family. Keep those tractors rollin and the black smoke blowin!!

I go to all the pulls with "Bubba" and we have a great time spending quality time talking while driving to and from the pulls. If it's cold out we just turn the heater up a bit and it warms our toes right up. As for the slush, it just takes about 5 minutes at the quarter car wash to take care of the problem. Some people can always find an excuse not to go. Too wet, too dry, too hot, too cold etc etc

I don't know about you but it is slim pickens when it comes to pulling in the winter around my area.I spend lots of time with my wife and kids and surely she could do without me for a day or two if it means seeing me do what I enjoy.There is soap and water for all that grime and I don't mind using it either,maybe a little armor all too.Some people(including myself)just like pulling that much.What a man chooses to do is his own business and if driving through all that mess floats his boat than so be it,thats his perogitive.I have skipped some pulls but I didn't like it a bit.Later,and keep warm.

The guys you see pulling their tractors up and down the road in bad weather have a method to
their maddness. They get their pulling out of
the way in the winter, that way they can spend quality time with your MRS. while you are at the
pulls in the summer, ever think about that.

I have no Mrs., so I spend quality time with my tractors. I don't pull for the $5 plaque, but for the fun of it (mostly). The winter can be a pain, but some are more dedicated than me. Have fun with the Mrs.!

Your just jealous. Your tractor is a piece that couldn't pull itself out of the barn because your crack mechanic skills screwed it up so bad it won't even run. The old lady wouldn't let you go anyway and you can't even drive in good weather not to mention bad weather. So just sit your butt by the wood stove. No one at the pull missed you anyway.

Hey puller Where are all these enclosed trailers? The last 3 natpa events I atteneded You could count the amount of enclosed trailers there on one hand. I agree with the guy. I often wonder if some of you guys that can't miss a pull or two have much of a home life at all. I get my pulling in in the late spring,summer and early fall locally. I do try to attend a winter pull or 2 but often wonder how people can leave that many weekends and travel all over the nation. My wife enjoys it all so but there are other things to do besides pulling. Especially if you have a couple of kids. Just my 2cents

Other than skiing, snowmobiling & pulling what else is there to do in the winter? Just throw the wife and kids in the truck, load up the tractor or tractors and go it's that simple, you know you want to. There's only a dozen or so winter pulls (not that everyone goes to all of them.) That leaves you with plenty of time to sit around at home by the woodstove.

We are grain farmers and we work every day. We spend a good part of the winter hauling grain to the city and working in the shop as do most other grain farmers around here in south-west Ohio.

Not us, we clean ditches, haul dirt, we have cleared 150 acres of woods in the last 10 years, we have to spray in the summer, mow, I usually have a big garden, so there is more to do than the time, but that is a catchy line though, I wish Chevy would make a good affordable truck so we could have one. We run a very active farm, not the kind of farm that everyone thinks about.

Some people just like to pull. We don't look at our tractors as investments. I built mine to use at parades, pulls, and shows. Let me guess, your one of those guys that smoothed out every spot weld, cast slag, and any imperfection on your tractor. They were ment to be used.

Well first of all if you have a covered trailer you have nothing to clean off! Second,if you just sit on your butt all winter with nothing to do than your BUTT is all you know.I don't know about your Mrs but mine loves to pulling too!,maybe you should get a new woman,at least one that does not sit on her BUTT all winter.Also everybody has there own thing that thay like to do,yours is sitting on your BUTT,I like to go pulling,snowmobile,cycling,and traveling and my Mrs loves to do the same.Thank you for telling us the type of person that you are,I think that if a person just lets life go by and does nothing,that when time comes for this person to pass on,and you look back on all you have done,all YOU will see is all the time you spent on your BUTT.
That is were the arm chair quarter back,bar stool politician and keyboard tractor puller come from ,but,everybody has there own thing to do and life to live,so don't knock what other people do,I dont think you know how you LOOK to us out here when we read what you posted.I can tell alot about you already and I know that any further communication will just fuel your personality.

Its ok i love the snow and the tractors and a good fire to with the wife see buy a trailer and put the stove in it to keep warm while reading a john deere book to the kids and eatting milk and cookie thin go in and see when it was my turn to pull, what a happie time it would be have a nice night mister.
