Checked the results from NAPTA pull last weekend only 18 hooks in Div 5. In 2002 there was 55 hooks in Div.5. Looks like all the classes were way down on hooks anybody know what happened.

After looking at the results, div 1 had 7 classes with noone in them and a few classes with hardly anyone. Div 2 had 3 classes with noone in them and also a few without much competitors, div 3 looked ok, and div 4 had a couple classes with noone and 2 with just a few. The weather was a disaster they said and couple that with the frozen track at last USAP pull, and there you go! Puller of One had many true comments also. The board has allowed Bear to buy his way into being legal and influences them constantly! Did notice that Brooks 560 beat Bear in the 5000 lbs class! That shows what a true 560 motor with a good driver can do! Give Bear all the horsepower in the world and he'll still get beat!

I take it that PULLER OF ONE must be in the age of 8 to 12 years and his father a div.3 puller with a div.1 tractor who wants to be pulling in div.5 and because he can not win he comes home and takes it out on this poor child. Thus the poor child gets on this web site to get rid of his flustration not knowing what he is talking about.
PS BILL BROOKS was cheating before BILL BEAR was born.

I think that Bill Bear was born way before Bill Brooks I could be wrong but I don't think so! Bill Brooks is excellent at driving a tractor and driving is what wins all the power in the world meens nothing if you can't read a track and drive!!!!! !!!

Listen, I could give Bear my TCOB Deere and he'd still lose! Brooks just plain outdrove him, and from what I hear, would have beat him in the 4500# too if he didn't go out of bounds towards the end of his run! Brooks will get him again too this winter, guaranteed!! If I was Bear, I'd want to know where was all this power I thought I'd get by putting the V-8 heads on and going to the Indiana for chop/weld/chop job!

Lets get this straight, you say BILL BROOKS is a good driver, knows how to read a track and has more HP than BILL BEAR buts gets beat by BILL BEAR because BILL BROOKS goes out of bounds, looks like you got the BILLS mixed up.BILL BROOKS runs the same gas as TILLEY but does not get DQ is this because he sucks up to LYLE ROORDA as we all know ROORDA lets BROOKS run div.5

Mr. J.D. Puller. Bill Brooks' gas has been checked and found to be legal. Yes, there was several complaints about his gas and we heard that is why they randomly checked Div. 5 last year. Well to everyones surprise Bill gas passed the test and ^Tilleys was right on the edge of the pass/fail line. So how is Bill Brooks Cheating anyway?

Listen, Bear is all to familiar they say with this special fuel too. For having more cubes, v-8 heads and etc, etc, etc over Brooks, it shouldn't even be close. However, Bear is LUCKY to beat Brooks if he even can! Again, they really did a great job out of Indiana on that motor for a 3-4 year old engine to out perform this magnum 460. He ought to put it in Suzie's tractor(get it voted legal first) and run div 4 with it 3500#.

Well, that motor may be illegal if the payments run out to the people he paid to vote for it! Also, Brooks (or BROOKS as you say) is smart enough to have a good shop (murphys) do it and not cobble it like 'ol grizzly bear did! It'll make twice the power of the teddy bear! AND BROOKS will drive it right!! When I get the 4010 alky going, it won't matter! Do you have a picture of Bear (oops, BEAR) hanging above your bed? He must be your fantasy or idol!

I'd feel pretty dumb with all this new fancy dancy 460 technology that Lemmons did for him and then he gets RAZZLE DAZZLED in Indiana. Nice driving Bear and nice machine work Lemmons!! IS THAT YOUR FINAL ANSWER?
YOU CAN PHONE A FRIEND.
POLE THE AUDIENCE.
OPT. FOR 50-50.

Your willing to give up the put-put-put-put-put?
I just dont know what you guys see in that poorly design, inefficacy of internal combustion engine.
I guess each to there own,I enjoy seeing the put-puts at the pull,I get a kick out of them.

What do you pull? That poor two cylinder engine sure has stayed around a long time. If they are so poor why do they bring twice as much money as the other brands? Just remember you started this. They do pretty darn well for 2 cylinders, remember my friend, these engines were designed for farming, etc. not to be cut up to pull for a $5 trophy. They did the job as well as any other during their hayday.

Lets poll the audience then.....Let's hear responses from people as to wheather they think 4010s should be allowed in Div V or not.

Granted, the 2 cylinder is not an efficient design. They have a lot of low end torque and not high top end power like 6 cylinder engines.

I'm not knocking "putt-putts" because I drive one, but any kid knows that "VROOOOOM VROOOM VROOOM" is better that "putt putt putt" 2 cylinders are great for Div II/III, but the Deere guys need a compairable engine design to compete with 1850 Olivers and 766 Internationals.

Yes 4010 and AC D19 should be pulling Div 5. Its going to take at least 40,000 dollars to compete with Mr Bear.

Can I ask this? IF the age limit on DIV V opens up to where a 4010 can pull in it what would say the IH's, Olivers, and AC's alos be allowed to pull? I am seriously not being a smartaleck but there was alot of model changing and stuff going on in those years and I am not real sure what the other companies made. If I remember right that would move the year model up to 1961? Were there any turbo tractors built then? Again, I am not trying to be an a$$, I just don't know.

AC D19 diesel had a turbo. In Div 5 this could be converted back to gas. This was 1961 model same as 4010 so 4010 will never be allowed because the AC turbo. Ihc was still building 560, Oliver still building 880. Big changes came in 62 63 and 64 for all brands.

Thanks for replying! I was wondering about it just to see if by doing that one or the other would have a big advantage also.Seems like if the turbo came from the facory it would have to be legal even in Div 5 but then that would put it at a real advantage I guess.

You are right Oliver did have the 1800 but shipping weight was 8030lbs. Would have been hard to get it down to 460 D19 or 4010 pulling weights.Ihc started 806 in 1963 it weighed 7800 lbs. so better off to go Bill Bears route and use 766 engine. Not sure about first D19 turbos but they had them on that series so you could still use them. Shipping weight on 4010 was 6800lbs. it should go down to 5000lbs. would love to see them be able to pull Div 5.
