What is the HP of this engine at 2200 rpm, two valve , supercharged no turbo. I have never worked with this type of engine. We put one in and LA case, and just want to know the horse power rating.
Thanks

N60's in a "N" piston/sleeved two valve 4-71 will make 150HP at 2300rpm with the blower 5% overdriven. Emissions go sky high fast with bigger injectors in that application. More power can be had with bigger injectors but it will start putting fuel/soot out the stack. Might get 175HP and lots of smoke with N90's.

I would say it should be good for 120 to 160 hp. A 318 Detroit (8v-71) is effectively 40 horse per cylinder. That is with very little smoke and no turbo. It really depends on what injectors are in it.

Good Luck,
Allen Pruehs

Well that sounds alot better than 80 hp! I thought it would be around 130 hp. I want to to pull farm stock with my LA Case 4-71.We got that engine out on the floor, and i'am thinking to myself, that's a lot of engine just to yield 80 hp.Thanks again.

The Horse power of it is all stock with the two valve head would be around 80hp. If you went with 4 valve head,N series pistons N80 injectors and speed up the blower twice as fast youll have her about 130hp. non turboed, turbocharged and then changed pistons and ran N90 injectors you have er about 150hp.
