AC, Actually, like I have said, other than the Super 66's, here in our area, the Super C's seem to be able to span the gap from #3000-#5000 in the most competitive manner(WD 45's jump at about #4000 and get stonger as you get higher, but don't seem to do alot below #4000). I don't know what the chain lengths are, the club we pull with is NATPA sanctioned, and we use several different sleds. Yes some of the tracks are a little loose, but I don't see where chain length or track conditions would make much difference as all the models are pulling the same conditions. Speaking of our Super C, it is in fact stock, recently gone through to original spec. I am not claiming to win in every class, every time out, but it is very competitive. Obviously when you get up into #5000 lbs, the JD A's usually rule the roost, and a guy with a Cockshutt 30 does well, but heck, a 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th against that kinda competition makes me happy. So far, I have never had a horsepower issue, out of 12 pulls last year (1st year we pulled her), I only powered out 1 time, in fact it is rare that I get above 3/4 throttle without spinning. Not claiming it's a "Super Tractor", just competitive through many classes. As a matter of fact, it doesn't have alot of 1sts, there is a guy with another Super C (without Quick Hitch, so he probably gets better weight distrobution) that usually beats me at #3500, but that's the only class he pulls. The guy with the Olie Super 66 gets me about 1/2 the time at #4000 and #4500, and a guy with a real nice WD 45 is real dangerous at those two classes also. If the guy that beat me at States with his A shows up, I never win #5000. Don't know if I answered your question, but if you get HOOK mag, you'll see me listed 3rd at #5000 in Div. I with the Super C(my name is mispelled Pitzer insread of Pitcher, but it's me!) Pete
