The Alton Cox Benefit Pull that was held in Goldsboro, NC on Saturady the 22 of March was a great success. We had app. 290 hooks and about 1000 paid spectators. We cooked and serverd 14 barbecue pigs (sold out) and over 1100 hot dogs (sold out). We sold well over 100 homemade cakes and thousands of soft drinks and bottled water. The 50/50 drawing was a success also. On behalf of Alton, Jan and their family, I want to thank each and every person who came, pullers, spectators, workers, and everyone else. We had pullers from all over North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and as far away as Maryland and Florida. We had several NTPA tractors and modifed trucks from others associations come and make exhibition pulls. Last, but the most important, I want to thank our God, the King Of Kings, and the Lord of Lords for shedding His blessings on this event. Many, many prayers were sent to Heaven about this pull and He answered them with a beautiful day and kind and charitable hearts from His people. Although we received over 3 inches of rain on the track on Thursday, the Lord gave us a good track to pull on. I believe every person at the pull Saturday had God's spirit in their heart, because as far as I know we did not have the first disagreement or conflict. Again, on behalf of Alton, Jan, and their family, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and may God bless each and everyone of you.
