I'VE BEEN ASKING EVERYONE ELSE THIS QUESTION AND GOT SEVERAL DIFFERENT ANSWERS,MAYBE YOU CAN HELP.
I HAVE A 4.1 HOLSET TURBO WITH G WHEEL.CAN I TURN THIS CHARGER WITH A 436 C.I. ENGINE,I SPIN IT AT AROUND 6000 RPM.IT IS A COLUBUS DIESEL TURBO WITH A AIR-RESEARCH EX. HOUSING.DON'T REMEMBER THE NUMBER BUT WAS THINKING A 100 HOUSING,WHAT DO YOU THINK?TRIED IT LAST YEAR,BLEW CROSS-OVER PIPE RIGHT OFF,MAKING O-RING FITTINGS FOR CROSS-OVER.

Redman,you said the magic words,call Columbus Diesel Supply and ask Mark Massey.If any one can tell you,he can.He has probably forgot more about turbo's than the majority of the people on here will ever know.

There are a lot of variables that come into play but I would think that 4.1 is getting pretty big for a 436, we are running a 4.1 on a 540 right now with good results. You will probably need a solid mechanical fastening system (turnbuckle etc.) to keep your crossover together if you get that turbo spinning at 6 grand. Good Luck.
