Check on the Allis forum. I think they use a different ring and pinion (RC)??? when they go to 38 in.rubber. Earl

I am building a WC puller w/ a "highcrop" rearend
This is the same 6:1 gear as the RC but much stronger. I don't know if there is an equivalent rear end for a WD or WD45, but would think that one out of a cane or highcrop would be geared lower. Standard WC is geared 4:1.
