I was told that a wd 45 diesel ring and pinion would gear down a wd. Is this correct? And how much of a differance will it make? Does anyone know whare i can find a set for my tractor. I have a gleaner motor in my wd and can't get power to the ground with my small tires.

If you can't get the power to the ground now, why do you want a lower final drive ratio?

Charlie i run 16.9 26" tires fron a E gleaner combine. With these tires i have to much ground speed an not enough traction. I need a larger tire for traction and a lower gear so i dont lose all my power. 12x26" tires are stock for the tractor thay spin like a fan! Thay dont hook up at all. bruce
