our community has a one day fall festival and we would like to add a kiddie tractor pull this year. although the concept seems straight forward we would appreciate any suggestions about how to set up the event and make it enjoyable for the kids and well as the adults that would be watching. it's planned as a fun event and not a money maker.

Have put on many kiddie pulls at various events.
I give ribbons to all pullers. I generaly get local buisnesses to donate toy tractors, pizza meals, ice cream, or etc.(that a kid would like)
for 1st-3rd places. I pull 3 age groups.(3-4,5-6,
7-8). Some people pull older kids; but when its
my pedal tractor I decide what ages. It is generally done on hard clay or even down main street. Been in paper many times!!

i saw one done on top of a tractor/trailor. that way the parents could get close and take pictures and other people could still see what was going on. if i remember the kids where put in either 10 or 25 pound classes. depending on number of pullers. give lots of ribbons so everyone is a winner.
