Super M head question

I had to replace the head gasket on my Super M and the head caught my eye so I would like to know if a have a gas or lp head on it. The chamber where the valves seat does not angle towards the valves it comes straight across then straight down right next to the valves. On my neighbors smta it angled towards the valves-leaving a bigger chamber. What type of head is on my super m?

And my next question is can you run domed pistons with this type of head or is there a clearance problem. It has flat top pistons in it right now.

Thanks for any help.

when ih started building super m's they changed the combustion chamber slightly to help the flow. maybe your super m has had the head replaced with an older one from a straight m.

More than likely, it is a 8060D. They put this head on M,SM,and early 400s. M&W pistons will fit the chambers in the 8060. The taller the dome on the pistons the better. Just my 2 cents, "possibly psychic" ChadS

What is the serial number on the head? I had a SM with IH "firecrater" pistons, put a 450 head on it, I did not realize the tapping noise I heard was the piston hitting the valve(we all thought I had a bad lifter), I learned the hard way, after replacing the pistons with M&W "add power" pistons I had no clearence problems.
