Back 20-30 years ago there used to be several M Farmalls here in Missouri that pulled the light Super Stock class. They were turboed with big 4bbl Holley's feeding them and probably turned over 4000rpms.Probably made 300-400 horses. Now it takes 1500-2000 horses to pull light SS.The tractor to beat is Brent Long from Aldrich,MO.Pulls a 686 IH alky burner with 400+ cubes turning 7500rpms with a DOHC aluminum head and one huge turbo. This tractor can turn those 30.5's pretty hard and rarely ever gets beat.

This is somewhat off the subject but an old boy in our area had an F-20 with a turbo on it. As I recall the whistle was off a d-21 AC. He had a Carter 4V feeding it. One other interesting point is that he had a mechanical fuel pump driven off the mag drive. This was back in the early/mid 70's.

I have seen and pulled against a gas farmall with a turbo it wasn't that impressive but it could have been the builders fault, maybe that setup works for others,He appeared to have a stock looking updraft carb on it seems like some custom manifolds and a downdraft system would be the ticket. There are some stroked M's that pull in my area and are some good tough competition, hope somone can help you out.
