Ben,

Are you going to pull at New Braunfels this weekend? If so, I'll look for you. I've got a 50LP but it's not a puller. I heard the pull was at the Comal Co. Fairgrounds, I'll have to find out where it is but I'm looking forward to it. I moved to Victoria in January and this is my first chance to make it to a pull down here. I'm also looking forward to Temple.

I'd like to see how your 50 does, I've only seen a couple of other 50's pull. It seems like they're a great working tractor but the weight puts them in a class with higher-powered tractors so a stock one doesn't have a very good chance IMO. Still, I saw a lady pull one several times and do pretty well with an "almost stock" 50.

I'll be looking for your 50 at NB!

Ben.. Im guessing you are going to be pulling in Hondo or NB... Usually the weight classes are 5100, 5600, 6100, 6600... I think there are Different rules at each pull... Hondo will be Div I, II, III... NB will be Stock and Modified.. Basically the same rules.. just classes a little different.... If you a pulling in a Div II class or a class were you can add weight get up to the limit.. (divI you can add wheel weights to get closer to the limit... I don't know how NB is breaking up the classes.. ) Get the drawbar up close to the limit.. probably 18in.. if nuthing else flip it over... If the NB track has some moisture in it... it can be a sticky (good traction).. but if it is dry its like pulling on concrete.... You will have a great time... Good people... JDGnut
