Does anyone know how much you can stroke a wd45 without notching the block? Another one, how much compression can the stock rods take? Thank for any help.

Sorry guys', but I thought this would be a good place for my question. I got a old farmall I pull, but a couple weeks ago I was at a pull in michigan, and got talking to a allis engine builder who had a vicious unstyled wc. He said it was 460cuin, he thought it was probaly one the bigger ones in the country. Curious as to how big they are getting these buggers out to? Thanks!!

6.125 will have windows in the block. I saw this same motor run 275 psi on welded rods for about 5 pulls then boom.

I've never went with out cutting the block but another guy told me its 4.750 max. As far as compression I once had 350 lbs of comp. and it was'nt good, it beat the he%* out of my bearings and made a lot of noise. I personally recommend around 200 lbs. Some may say different.
