I would like to get any advice about tuning a stanadyne DB4 4 cyl. fuel injection pump. I can buy a pump with a 4 plunger head with 0.27" plungers. I have heard that roosa master/stanadyne used to make 4 cyl. 4 plunger heads with 0.35" plungers. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore. Ofcourse I would like to get such a big head, so if you would have one for sale I would be happy to hear that.
Does anyone have experience with enlarging the fuel supply pressure and/or with enlarging the internal pressure? I have been told that if I would enlarge the pressure too much the pump will jam/ break internally.
Please help me.
Every advise could help, so if you know anything, please tell me.

Thanks,
Gerrit

I have bored out several rotors and put .450 plungers in them, a 4cyl would be no different. as far as the pump seizing, there are a lot of variables that can cause it. RPM's, poor drive design,or the wrong combination of parts is probably the most common. when I build a injection pump, there is very little chance it will seize because IT has a problem, but the john deere's seem to have a weak drive that can be a challenge to deal with.
