Hello, there!! I have not talked with you for a while!! I have a question for you, or anyone who may be able to help. My brother in law has a Massey 101 with a Chrysler flathead 265 6 cyl.. He would like to stroke this engine,, Could any one tell me how big you can stroke the 265? I can make the rods, Just need to know what is the biggest stroke, or some combos that worked well. Looking for around 85 to 90 hp. It is 72 now. Has a bigger cam, and it is .040 over pistons. Head shaved and msd ignition. He also has a few spitfire engines as well for parts. (not for sale) Any info would be greatly apreciated,, Thanks!! ChadS

I am working on a 230, which is very similar to the 265, for my 101 right now as we speak. You will need to build an offset cap rod that is about 2/3rds the orginal width. The oringal rod is offset on the journal to clear the cam lobe. If you use a 2" journal, you should be able to get a 5.75" stroke to go. If you go down to a 1.75" journal, you might get 5.875" or even 6".

Send me an email if you have any questions.

Pete.
