504 cubes is easy. Just bore the block to fit the 4 5/8 sleeves and pistons from a later model Case. 1370, 1570, 2470, 2670, 2870, 2090, 2290, 2390, 2590, 4490, 4690, 4890 all had 504 cubes. I'm not sure what you'll have to do for heads. Do you know what the compression ratio is on your 377 diesel? The larger displacement in the cylinder will jump that compression up about 34%. If you know your current compression ratio, just multiply that by 1.34. This will be very close to you new compression ratio. If it's much over 16 to 1, you'll at least need heavier valve springs and probably should go with a later model head off of a 451 or 504 for better flow. I'm not sure what all will fit this 377 diesel. If it were me, I'd start with a 451 engine from a 1030 Case. They'll bolt right up. As far as how big you can go, I've heard of these 500s, 600s, and 900s being bored, sleeved, and run dry that are over 1000 cubes. Yes that's ONE THOUSAND. Lamont
