Haven't seen too many of these but did see one last weekend and it looked like a lot of fun. Just wondering about a couple of questions that popped to mind. One, do all pulls use a similar sled in their pulls? This one got progressively hard to pull as the sled moved down the track. Second, does the track change as the events move along? It would seem that maybe some competitors have advantages over others depending on when they are pulling through the day, etc. Sort of like the "fast lane" at the drag strip.

Most pulls have a sled similar to the one you saw, take note of the word similar. No two are alike, they are balanced different, weigh up front heavy or front floating almost at the start.Sometimes you pull on worked over sod where you leave trenchs when you dig in at the end, sometimes on clay that is so hard you leave black marks when you spin out. Some pulls still use a stone boat type sled where you start with dead weight, sometimes on concrete or blacktop.
etc,etc,etc
