Hey guys, I have a kerosene M, and I was wondering how much I can shave the head without needing new pushrods, or shimming the rocker arm assembly.
Thanks

Let me add that this tractor still sees some use pulling a wagon for cleanup & pulling logs to the burn pile. And occasionaly if the neighbor's behind I use it to pull a disc to help out. I don't want to do anything that'll hurt it if I use the tractor for long periods of time. I think it's going to need vavle seals this winter, and was going to yank the head & have it checked out & get a valve job & mill it while I'm at it. Thougt about getting another head, but I don't have the money for it right now.

Thanks

Why do you want to shave the head?,,if its for more comp. why not install a gas head from a 400 ????? ?,to answer your question it all depends on how thick the head is some of the heads do have slite diff. in thickness from casting,,check with a motor shop as to how much can be safely removed with out ending up with all kinds of trouble with leaking and the like
