You know,, I was thinking,, A few days ago,, I was concerned with a 460 in 3500 classes. well why not then???? Here is what I would like to do,, tell me what you guys think ok?? Don't trash me now,, LOL,, Ok,,, I have a 301 503 combine engine,, and I want to put it in an H frame,, rearend,, No ta,, and put on 460 sheetmetal. Sounds kinda interesting huh? I was wondering,, how big is the flywheel on the 301? is it a 4 bolt or a 6 bolt mounting on the crank? could the early 460 bell housing possibly bolt on to the H rear end? ChadS

Some clubs have an anything goes class. We call it Outlaw down here. Anything goes except alcohol and turbos. Just do it and find a club that has a fun class where it is understood that anything goes.

NO!!!! I am not out for fooling people here, My take on this,, is if the rules allow it,, I will pull it,, But if not,, I wiould pull it "Exhibition" at some of the big fairs around here. Just want a 6 cyl powererd tractor,, can't afford to buy a 460-560 tractor,, so if ya can't find one,,, build one ha ha!! ChadS

Now, if you've got parts from several H's...you might weld up a longer steering shaft...take 2 hoods to make one long one...and lengthen the side rails...you MIGHT make this hybrid look like something that somebody at IH might have had nightmares about in the early '50's! I mean, you HAVE seen some 6-cylinder Allis WD's, haven't you? So it wouldn't look THAT out of place, except maybe sitting next to a stock H...Hmmmmm...maybe an H on steroids? Something to think about, anyway...
