John, we pull a Super C in the true Farm Stock classes here in Upstate, NY and do quite well against some of the tractors mentioned here. (We are color blind, so there is no brand bashing here, we pull a Ford 2N, a Super C, a Super H, a Super M, and a JD70.) Problem is finding pulls where they will enforce the "stock" part of the rules. (We are bone stock except where an engine needs to be overbored to run properly due to wear.) In these classes set up; tires, pressures, weight and drawbar heights are of the utmost importance. It is our experience that in the 3500# class, a Super C's traction will usually more than make up the difference in HP between it and a WC. Don't bother to weight up and go after 'em in a heavier class though, when they get better traction, they will beat ya up! In the "suped up" divisions, I don't know. We like true stock pulling. we have this stock 2N that would amaze ya, but everyone will tell me I'm full of it, so I'll stop here. Have fun with the Super C, and take solace in the fact that it is about 100 times handier for normal tractor chores than a WC Allis, and before everyone jumps on me, this is an opinion base upon my experiences with many tractors. I harbor no ill will toward AC, probably even find a couple somewhere in our barn. Pete
