I got an mt and I plan on pulling it. I was just wondering if anyone has seen these pull before and if they seem to do pretty good. I have heard that pulling in antique classes that they don't do that well. I'm not pulling in antique classes and I plan on putting a set of 16.9 or 18.4 tires on it. I have seen the performace of it on the farm and they are serious work horses. What do you all think?

So I take it that you all don't think that 16.9 or 18.4 would be a good choice for tires and that I should go to 15.5 or 14.9 or somewhere in there. They will be on 9 bolt wheels so I can swap them between my oliver if the bigger sizes don't work.

I pull a JD 40 with Natpa and at my local clubs in Colorado. Your MT should be about the same. I have run my 40 on several different tire sizes and 13.6x38 and 13.9x36 seem to work fairly good. On loose tracks you can run a 15.5x38 but usually 3500 Lbs is about the heaviest you can go. On my 13.9x36 I can run from 3000 to 4000 Lbs and that is about it. If I can help you in anyway please ask.

In the early 70s I pulled an MT in the 4500 lb. class of dead weight pulls, it was a good running MT, but it didn't have near enough HP to play in the 4500 lb class, you should be able to pull it in 3500 or so with some decent results. Email me if I can help.

I don't think the mt will do a very good job with that size tire.

I think this guy is serious. I know a guy that is running an mt JD with a 1400HP 6030 engine in it.It seems to work nice he pulls it in the 12000 super it looks kind of odd I think his name is CHADS.

Nick Dengler is making mine, but the castings keep slipping and the pistons arent coming out like they should.Ive been waiting for several months (since September).Keith Merfeld got my last set they cost me the points championship in the 7500 8500 9500# classes this year.I used to trust Keith but I think he might have some other issues right now.
