I pull in western Wisconsin-20 inches is the max for all the pulls I go to, stock and hobby classes.

Hitch height usually depend in the type of tractor. Stock (or something close) with uncut tires is usually 18". Classes that allow cut tires, both speed limit and open gear, is almost always 20" high. Mike
