TimC, I forgot to put your name in the subject line on the prev post. Would like any advice you could give on brass welding sleeves. I would love to see the picture of the finished product, too.

I'll see if I have a pic of the finished. There are a few other details you would need to know but it isn't rocket science. My machinist friend perfected this process when using big bores where the block is going to split without some sound support on the top side. He has never had one fail using this method.
