If I run the cheaper fuel in my pulling G will it affect my tractor? Will it hurt the engine?

Sweeper... I think that relation thing goes by the LAST name.. haha.. But it some states.... haha.. Glad your back.. (Even if U did beat the Ol R by a few ft at Booneville... Wish we could have make it to Cleveland... first time is about 4-5yrs we have been there..)

Back to the Question... The fuel is going to depend on your tractor..... engine.. Compression ratio... If you can run the fuel with out it knocking or pinging.. U should be OK.. But JD's are bad about blowing head gaskets if run too low of octane... (Especially a G with a flathead that isn't pinned..) U'll just have to run it and see.. I have mixed my fuel pump gas to save a few $$$$ but when it comes pulling time I try not to have much pump gas in the tank... Good Luck

I buy my fuel in relation to compression ratio. The higher the ratio, the higher octane you need to stop detonation. High octane in a low comp. motor will not hurt, just be a power loss. The fire will still be burning when the piston is at the bottom.
