couldyou guys get on here an expain to chads that a 2 cyl deere will not pull 4th gear in 8500 without running out of power. 5500-6500-7500 is not the issue here.strickly talking 8500 here.yes i do respect everybody opinions on this board regardless of tractor color. i'm p----- off about this whole issue of 4th gear deeres in 8500 because it just isn't going to happen. chads is stating bs about this an somebody new to pulling goes out an builds a big deere then he's dissappointed with the results he got because he was mislead not knowing anybetter.

There's a G here in Va. that pull's 4th gear in the 8000 and never pull's down, he never win's though, seem's like there's alway's a red tractor that get's the big trophy. By the way,it's one of them other red tractor's.

The track could have been sandy, the sled could have been light, or it could have had a long chain on it. All that would have helped the tractor pull 4th and not power out.

If you KNOW it's not going to happen, why bother getting so worked up and stressed about it. You're not going to change his mind, and he's not going to change yours, so until somebody can PROVE that one of you is right and one of you is wrong, why not just let it rest? Life is too short to waste time worrying about other people's opinions.

I personally know of two G's that will pull 4th gear in 8500 and one will go to 9500 in 4th, maybe it is just the air in Pa that makes more power?

Hey 820, ever heard the old saying, "Tis better to be thought a fool, and never spoke a word, than to open your mouth, and remove all doubt!!"?? Why don't you come up to WI and see how Deeres pull up here? I don't even pull a Deere , but up here Theyll pull 4th and spin out. Maybe Us northern boys just know how to build things better than you????? I don't know what your problem is with Chad, but why don't you take it somewhere else, the rest of us would like to use this board for real discussions, not this crap thats been going on lately! And Chad, when this dumbas* gets on his keyboard, I know its hard, but don't stoop to his level and answer, that just makes him happy!! And it makes you no better than him, know what I mean?? Oh yeah, 820, why don't you grow some balls and leave your email on here pal? If you do I will ya puss! Wake up and smell the diesel smoke. Maybe you better read a few more how to build Horspower books or something, you sound just like a high school kid that reads car craft once and thinks he knows how to do everything! Wakeup and growup!
