I remachined this piston to accept a 1 in stroker, and it is a IH piston. this is a small domed piston, I have a piston made, that makes this dome look tiny!!! LOL!! Think it will build some compression???? Chad

Just using a couple of rings or machined more grooves down the piston?

All the rings are still there, in stock location. Chad

After the stroker crank and the dome what is your compression gonna be? Looks like a high rpm turning, no torque set-up at low RPM's. Would love to hear your prefered comression. I picked up a RD 372 engine today. Anyone need one??

Are those for use with a kerosene cyl head? Pulled a set out of my M a few years ago that looked about like that.

That piston is an old stock flat top, I machined it to make a dome on it, Yeah that top design is a IH design, came from the old stepped head piston. Yes, it would fit 8060 heads, and like chambers. I have a few different cuts for different heads, like the LP, 450, and regular M heads. I was just messing arond with the flat top you see, The other design is has about 13/16 dome on it. it is designed for a stroker, and keeps the cost down finding pistons for smaller stroker engines. That is a M block, 4 cyl. LOL but can do the same thing to a 6 cyl. Chad

Chad, as my ol' daddy used to say, I was born stupid and lost ground ever since...but I don't figure that sort of dome would work on a Farmall 6 with a truck head...would it? At least not without a spacer!

No, not with a truck head, the tractor head can handle a bit bigger dome in the chamber. the truck heads, as you know, take a flat top piston, yeah you could put a very small dome in it, but would have to cut valve reliefs in the piston. Chad
