Since this is a new engine, you need to break it in, seat the rings, and the valves. the valves may be too tight, and holding them open. Set them while the engine is hot (warmed up) The compression will build higher when the rings seat in the cyl. the big bore actually took compression away, since the stroke was not enough to compliment it. Also, when you stroked it the Allis engine is like a wedge engine, no chamber in the head, you should have found a piston, that would be a bit taller in the bore than the original, stock piston. (Compression height) A freind found out when he built his WC the first time, he installed a 3/4 stroker crank, with stock 4 in pistons, and was over 300psi, it had no room for a chamber to fire. he broke all 4 pistons at the ring lands of the pistons!! detonation, so, he brought it to me, and I went with 4 in ford 351 pistons. it had 230 psi, and was 70Hp. they are about 1/2 in below the deck at TDC. worked very well. Your will be a good puller, don't get me wrong here, it will lug very well! Just break in the engine, and maybe tune it on the dyno to set the timing, and the carb, then go from there. Chad
