Has anyone put a RD372 or RD450 truck motor in a 460 or 560? If so, what all did you have to change?

I would also like to know about this. How bout a 501? What can be done to these motors, as far as stroking and boring, head work ect.

501s and 450s will go in a 460 or 560. Special flywheel work, grinding on block, motor mounts. A lot of work but worth the fun.

They are heavy motors.

650 ci out of a 501 is easy. 600 ci out of a 450 is fairly easy. Cranks have good counter weight for balance purposes at higher RPMs. 2.75 to 3 inch journals leave a lot to work with as far as stroking goes. Cam clearance is no big task if it is even an issue in most cases.

The heads are capable of 2.300 intake valves and runners are plenty big. Improvements are easy for a knowledgable head shop and performance is easy for a knowledgable head porter with either flow bench experience or a good working knowledge of fluid flow principles.

when you say grinding block, do you mean the rear flange of the block where it bolts up. it interfers with the frame rails doesn't it. i'm in the process of putting a 450 in a 560
