Do most of the associations consider a 460 farmall with the 301 engine to be legal for pulling in the stock classes? I know it didn't come that way but I'm told it's a bolt in swap.

The average person cannot tell a 301 from a 221 or a 263.

If they eliminate the 301 they must eliminate the 263 as a direct replacement also. Sometimes from a monetary standpoint it is just as cheap to buy the 'Technically REPLACEMENT ENGINE 301' and pull. It is a factory replacement for the 221, Just as a FARMALL 400 or a 450 motor is for a Standard M..... .

Where I pull a 460 with a 301 is not stock and will never be considered stock.

You could just do like a guy in my area that thinks he needs to win a 8.00 trophy at all costs just grind the numbers off the block and then pretend you don't know any better
