We have a 41 case vc that we pull in stock form in 2500 pound class that used to win regularly. But the 34" tires can't compete with the 38's on a freinds 66 oliver that he lightened up nut to mention the extra hp. The vc didn't have a low enough gear to pull in much higher classes but the continetal motor has parts readily available to go to 162cu in that block. That won't make a wild thing but the 35 or so hp will help a little.

Never seen a old fordson pull. My dads 20 Cockshutt does a nice job in 2700 - 3200. The only real problem he has in 2700 are the wc's.

we have a AC CA that is hard to beat in 3500-4500 on a good track. I am limited to tire size, with small 24's. usually beat super c's, H's, fords?(ha), in lighter classes it just spins out. it has 3 low comp. pistons, 1 gas piston. dad's CO case is mighty strong, and it still has 3 7/8 kerosene pistons, we have 4 inch gas for it.
