I have always been a John Deere man, but here latly I have been wondering about building a 600 case. What years were they built? Are there any better motors to transplant in? What is the biggest it can go with out a lot of work? What was Shippman doing to them to run like they are?
Just curious of what is involved, may just stay with the best "John Deere".

You need to get a truck load of money to run with those Case 600's. There is an add in the hook mag for one 29000.00 , it was at the top. I heard about one with a cummins engine built that beat Shippman to the punch, and out pulled his tractors for less money per pound.
Good luck, If you need a 600 to start with let me know, i have several.

Many places will not allow a different make engine to be substituted. Where you can use them they are great. I would love to drop in a nice sized Detroit and go hunting big inch Moline's for fun.
