I was just wondering if anyone had rules for the antique pull at the IA State Fair. I just want to make sure my tractor is legal before I enter. If I don"t have to change anything too big, then I would like to have this winter to do it.

Give me an e-mail, if you have any questions.
As of right now, I do not see any changes from the 2004 rules.

Thanks!

I will shoot you an email if you unblock your email address. The main concern I have is about a homemade starter that is on my f-20. I have never had anybody complain about it, but I wanted to see what your rules are about it. Secondly I was wondering what your hitch and wheelie bar specs are to see if I have to change anything. Thanks bigmotors.

If you are pulling in the stock class, it must be factory equipment. If you are pulling in the modified antique class (which it sounds like you are looking for) you can have a factory or a modified starter on you're F-20. As long as it is safe and well made (nothing cobbled). As for wheelie bars: 10" max above ground. The back of the wheelie bars is to extend 5" behind the rear tire. Pads - about 5" square and spaced a minimum of 20" from outside of the pad. The stabilizer bar system must be able to support the tractor in the heaviest class pulled with driver. We do (not) allow wheelie bars hooked to the drawbar on models such as you're F-20 for safety reason. If you are trying to meet these rules, we will work with you. Send me a address, and I'll try to send you some rules. Hand cranking a modified F-20 is no fun.
Thanks!
