Back in the late 70s and early 80s I saw scale model tractor pullers. These were gas powered models using Cox type engines. Has anyone seen these? Do they still exist? Was I halucinating?

They used to have Micro Mini pulls at the fair when I was a kid. I can remember they used to be in the covered livestock show ring, and usually drew a pretty good crowd. I've talked with a lot of the guys that had them, and most of them still have their tractors stashed away somewhere. I'd like to see someone build or find a sled and see that happen again. However, I don't remember any of those being gas powered. It seems to me that most ran electric drill motors, etc.

I remember seeing an article, I think in the old Ertl publication The Replica...about Mini-Rod tractor pulls. They had a pic of a 1/16th scale JD 5020 that was obviously split and put back together with big screws...it had a motor in it....and, no, you're not crazy

Try searching for micro mini pullers.

Funny thing I was just about to post the same question. I do know it was still going in the early 80s. Try a google search and try different word orders. Boyd.
