can anyone tell me where I can get a 630 john deere lp head, and which way would be better to go for more hp, destroking, or stroking it...any other suggestions would be great, thanks

The LP head is only different from the gasoline head in the fact that it had hardened valve seats. Otherwise it was identical and is the same casting number, and will gain you no more power over the gasoline head. Deere LP tractors gained their higher compression ratios purely by piston design, not by smaller combustions chambers as on some other brands.

ditto what G-man said, and also the only reason you might want to destroke it is if you were wanting to turn some serious RPMs. Otherwise you want to stroke it.
