A set of Firestone Champion Ground Grip 10-34 4 ply made in Canada. Patent test Tread 1955. One tire is marked with AD-9555-7 and 1-IL . The other is AD-9555-4 and 3-IL . Any ideas on their vintage or any particulars. They are old, very hard and have full tread except for being sharpened by road wear. They must have spent 99% of their time indoors.

Glen, the 23 degree Firestone tires started in the early 60"s although I have been told the older 45 degree tires were continued for a few years. I am not 100% sure of this but odds are the tires are 60"s vintage or older. I know someone that can read the tire date code can give you a closer idea. It may be possible that the "9555" is 9th day, 5th month, 55 year, or perhaps 95th day of "55. Just speculation on my part. Mike
