i have a jd 50 that i have been pulling with this past season. i would like to know what i can do to get a decent amount of horsepower to be competative. i have a set of 15-5 38's on 14" wheels and still use the cast centers(which works great) but i would like to go with a 9 bolt hub and pressed wheels. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks, brad thomas

A 5" PowerBlock would be your best choice... At only 189 Cu IN, you need more cubic Ponies..!!

Good valve-work, and match the head/intake ports. 7 or 8 to 1 Compression..not any higher if you want to do farm-work with it.. Without doing a great deal, I think you will still be pulling in 1st gear...and you should not have any problem doing that, now...!!!
