We're going to pull an IH 1256 in farm stock next season. I picked up a pair of 20.8-38 radials with about 50% tread and good sidewalls. Are radials decent for pulling or should I get a pair of bias-plys?

they work well until you start building on the hp,then they bounce.
i have no idea why they do it,but after around 400 hp they start.

Boy do I have to agree with Redman. I have them on a 1206 and run 3rd high + TA and it can get a little squirrelly. They hook great, but I rarely have a smooth run. Didn"t know that I could blame it on the tires. By the way, I run about 5 lbs more air pressure than my Bias tires.

I agree those guys with radials do a lot of bouncing. Keeping the air pressure stiff helps. Like Red Puller said you need a little more in a radial than you do a bias because they will give and squat a lot easier.
