How big can you bore a J.D. 70 stock block without running into any problems. Also how much can you stroke it without grinding main case.

I bored ours to 6.123" with no trouble. The bore extensions certainly appear thinner afterwards, I'm not sure how much more you could take out before having to put sleeves in.

You can stroke it to around 8.5" without grinding on the top of the crankcase, but if you're going thru the bother of stroking it I suspect you'll end up going thru the rear wall. Otherwise you may conclude that its a lot of effort for not much gain. We went 9.75"; which required a fair amount of grinding.

I'd be happy to discuss any or all of the experiences we had with our project via phone, e-mail or this discussion board.
