First of all Gary I am only yanking your chain. Second yes some Deere pullers would be the first to complain because we would only be jumping on the "bitching wagon" the other brands do with us.

If you mean that I get a little tired of the same ol' crap about how everyone is running stock stuff and the green ones don't yes I guess I have been a sweaky wheel. The 39 Farmall M we rebuilt has a genuine M block. However, it is funny how we had to bore the block to get those sleeves to fit. ;^). All IH parts in the ol' girl but spits out 60hp. That's what you call stock. Did you ever walk around a Massey and look at the front of the head. Weird how age has shrunk the thickness of the head. Looks to be a few thousands taken off of the ol' head. Stock? Darn right! We won't even go with the MM.

People complain about the Deere owners feeling superior than everyone else because of the green paint. But I think people get tired of fighting against a tractor with half or third less cylinders. And often times losing IMHO

I don't know why you people get all up in arms about stock/not stock. Who cares? I am assuming that you are div II and III type pullers otherwise you wouldn't be concerned. IMHO all you need is enough power to run the speed limit down the track. If it takes a few tweaks to get there, so be it, everybody is then on a level playing field. (what a concept!) Are there going to be people who spend thousands of $$$ to go 3.5 mph, you bet. Will somebody with a $500 junker beat them, sometimes. And if you can't handle that, go play in another sand box. :-)

Your humble opinion is right on the money. I've spent to much $ on my G when I was competitive prior to tear down. I guess I got caught up in wanting gain that extra edge. Of course many of you know how expensive that little bit can be. I didn't even mess with the stroke. OUCH. As far as the M, that ol' girl fell victim to a good ol' neglected beating over its life. The best thing we did for it was attack it with some wrenches, sockets, and a boring machine.

Talk to you boys later have a good weekend
