I have a set of 20.8's X 38's mounted on open center rims, I plan to weld in some pressed wheel centers off of some old rotten ones I came across. Where is the best place to weld them in on the rim? In the center of the rim width for more even weight distribution across the tire, or doesn't it matter. Any ideas would be helpful.

You probably no this but, make sure you remove tire and tube before you weld, or you may get a real bang out of this project!!!!! !!!

The last set I did, I broke the bead on the one side and removed the tube. Welded with the tire on, because I never spit the rim that the tire was mounted on. Yea, I already took the boom theory into consideration, but thanks for the reminder.

first see where you need the center so your tractor is not to wide or tire to close for the fenders or weight brackets. after that it's just what you think works best.
