question about airplane gas

We run airplane gas in one of our tractors [1.50 cheaper than racing fuel}.Do you that runs airplane gas mix any 2 cycle oil,marvel mystery oil,etc?If so how much per gal? thanks

730-LP, you want to add a small amount of lubrication to avgas because it is a very dry fuel. I used to use Marvel oil but it will not stay suspended. I now use about one ounce of two-cycle oil per gallon of avgas and seem to get along better with it. If you do not run some kind of lubrication you risk galling your valve guides. A very small amount of two-cycle oil helps a lot. Mike

Used to run it.. Added a little Marvel with it... used the recomemdation on the can of MM... never had a problem.. had just heard of a few others that didn't and had problems... JDGnut

Just rember that 100 low lead, is not low on lead. It has a lot of lead in it.
